Revetal Arbeid og Kompetanse AS was established in 1989 as a result of cooperation between the municipalities of Hof, Våle and Ramnes. The enterprise is now organized as a limited company in which the two municipalities have shareholdings.
The purpose of the company is to create permanent places of work for persons who are occupationally handicapped and who are therefore unable to take advantage of other offers for ordinary employment. The main purpose for each client is that the company contributes to a good quality of life, and that the employee plays the lead role in his/her own life.
Through the production of goods and services for the ordinary market, the occupationally handicapped will obtain qualifications and develop their personal resources. The possibility of occupational rehabilitation must be kept open. The company also has five participants, who are guided to ordinary jobs. In cooperation with the education authority in the county, young students with special needs from high school are helped to obtain qualifications and develop job skills in a specific profession. The company has 22 employees as well as a staff of 6 comprising the managing director, 4 departmental managers and a job consultant.
Revetal Arbeid og Kompetanse AS ble etablert i 1989, som et resultat av et samarbeid mellom kommunene Hof, Våle og Ramnes. Bedriften eies i dag av Re kommune og Holmestrand kommune. Bedriften er organisert som et AS og ligger på Revetal i Re kommune.
Bedriften har som formål å tilby varige arbeidsplasser tilpasset de yrkeshemmede som ikke uten videre kan nyttiggjøre seg ordinære arbeidstilbud. Bedriften skal tilby hensiktsmessige arbeidsoppgaver – både på interne og eksterne arenaer. Bedriften skal tilby opplæring på bedriftens ulike produksjonsområder for å styrke læring, mestring og utvikling. Bedriftens målsetting er å bidra til økt livskvalitet og empowerment. Ved bruk av «Min Plan» skal arbeidstaker være aktør i sitt eget liv.
Bedriften organiserer sin produksjon og tjenester ut i fra bedriftens ressurser, og eieres og næringslivets behov for varer og tjenester.
Bedriften har 22 arbeidstakere i arbeidsmarkedstiltaket Varig tilrettelagt arbeid (VTA). Tiltaket Arbeidsforberedende trening (AFT) har 5 deltakere. Bedriften har Lære-kandidater fra Opplæringskontoret OKTAV. Staben av 6 personer:
