Levels of recognition of quality
EQUASS offers two types of external audits leading to a recognition of the quality of services provided by a European Social service provider:
- EQUASS Assurance
- EQUASS Excellence
EQUASS Assurance audits will continue to be offered through the main office in Brussels and its various Local Licence Holders across Europe.
EQUASS Excellence audit will continue to be offered exclusively through the main office in Brussels.
Recognising Commitment to Quality
Applicants to EQUASS Assurance or EQUASS Excellence that fail to meet the scoring threshold for quality recognition, but whose efforts and scores reflect a commitment to Quality are awarded either:
Committed to Assurance (for Applicants to the EQUASS Assurance quality mark)
Committed to Excellence (for Applicants to the EQUASS Assurance quality mark)
After 6 months the applicant will get the chance to have a follow-up audit to take place where the recommendations, made by the auditor in the original audit, will be audited again. This is a one-day process. When successful, the applicant will be awarded with the quality recognition for which applied.
